About Sound Outreach

Sound Outreach provides guidance, direction, and support to all those in need, with a focus on economically vulnerable populations in Pierce County. Staff take a comprehensive, affirmative approach, ensuring that clients feel respected, looking beyond their initial needs that bring them in for help. Our model ensures that each individual or family explores their financial, health, basic needs, and housing assets to gain long term stability and independence.

 VITA Free Tax Preparation!

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax help to people who generally make $54,000 or less. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with  e-filing to qualified individuals.

Beginning February 21st-April 15th, no appointments for tax prep will be made. Walk-In’s Only at Sound Outreach and most Sound Outreach host sites.  For more info, click here:VITA 2017 Site Update
